You are the moonbeams streaming through my window when
I’m awake at 3 a.m.
I wonder what you would tell her
whenever
she throws her hands up in defeat.
She’s at it again with the shit talk—
I’m so over life right now.
I guess life is always just gonna be
shit.
And I dig around in my chest cavity,
searching for a hidden pocket of strength to offer.
My sister is a blister; I love her,
but she’s too attached.
I won’t do as you did, Mom.
I have to live for me.
I will
live for me.

Adore this – keep living and surviving, you do it so well even on the days you don’t feel like you do.
This ‘My sister is a blister; I love her,
